CHRIS'S FREE PICTURES and a frog's eye view.....

If you are this little guy,

you need to keep and eye out for

the threats in the trees,

the threats on the shoreline,
and if you are going from stream to pond or lake you probably need to watch out for this character.
This is your ultimate "frog's eye view".

Check out this High Dynamic Range Photographer

Normally I post a picture or pictures in the mornings that I have taken myself and search other blogs for photographs, tips and information or process my photos in the evenings. I found the blog of Randy Van Duinen late one afternoon. According to the biography on his site, he is also an instructor of photography at The Morean Art Center in St. Petersburg, Fl. where he teaches architectural, Photoshop, Light room and HDR Photography. I do not know what HDR photography is beyond reading that HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. Looking at Mr. Van Duinen’s work instills a sense of awe in me. I had absolutely no idea that this type of photography existed and still need to learn much more about it. It looks as much like art as it does photography to me. I would count my self privileged to meet  Mr. Van Duinen after seeing his work.

If you are into (UGGGH) SNOW, COLD and beautiful photographs from Alaska you will probably find what you are looking for at http://skolaiimages.com/journal/.
Backcountry skiing near Mt. Blackburn, Wrangell - St. Elias National Park, Alaska.
The above image is from his editing art post on January 7, 2011. While I see it as a great photo, I almost had to go buy extreme cold weather gear just to look at it. It reminds me of just why I REALLY DON'T MISS THE SNOW AND COLD.
Of course if you are not into SNOW AND COLD, you might check out the photo images at http://www.skolaiimages.com/stock/index.php?cat=4.

One Saturday morning.....

I got up before the crack of dawn to push my poor little Kodak camera to it's limits. Some of the photo's are blurry and poorly focused because of the transition from no or very little light to very early daylight and cloudy conditions. By the way the date was actually December 18, 2010.

The lights at Publix across the lake.

The first faint blush of dawn.

The blush is growing

By the dawn's early light

you can see the clouds

the little cove lights up

And the day's first predator shows up

A FROG'S EYE VIEW....

If you were this

your point of view would likely be this

while you were watching out for this

or these three uglies.

Need I say more?

Harley Davidson Road King

I stopped at a local motorcycle shop on the way home and asked the owner if I could take some pictures of the Bikes on display.
This shop does custom bikes and stock bikes as far as I can tell. I also have permission to stop back later and take even more pictures.
It was pretty close to their closing time so I was a little rushed and it does show in the quality. I will probably be able to do better on my next trip(s).
I really didn't have time to plan the shots or do any real close up pictures.

In the first couple of pictures you may see an "orangeish" color on the chrome.

That is just a reflection from the building.

I hope that you have enjoyed this "quickie".

While I am not a botanist and can not identify the plant in the center of the Cypress Knees, it doe make for an interesting picture in my opinion.

I hope that your opinion is the same. This picture was taken lakeside at Lake Alfred, Florida.

I took this picture on a cold and gray December 19, 2010 at Lake Alfred, Fl. on the way home from work.

I was experimenting with close ups and silhouettes.
