WET SPANISH MOSS HAS COLOR

I took these pictures on a rainy Friday, January 21, 2011 morning. I discovered that Spanish Moss (Tillandsia usneoides) can turn green in the rain. The University of Florida  has done more than a little research on Florida Moss and might be able to explain why it changes color. If for some strange reason you wanted to buy it and install it in your trees you might be able to do so here.

These pictures were made using a Kodak Easy Share CX7430, 4.0 Mega Pixel Camera. The settings were normally, but not always: Close Up or Land scape, exposure composition 0.0, Picture quality Best, white balance daylight, ISO speed 100, Color Mode Color, Exposure Metering center spot.
